Mr. "H" is One Year Old!

This weekend I was able to take some 1 year old photos of "Mr. H". I'm good friends with his parents so I've had the opportunity to watch him grow up over the last year. He is SUCH a cutie! I just love his deep dark eyes! Adorable...

I also love his CUTE spiked hair! Too cute!

My Son Austin (Pardon my Bragging)

I wanted to take a moment on my blog this week to brag a little about my son, Austin.

Isn't he a cutie!? He is BY FAR my favorite subject to photograph.

He just turned two in August. And, like any other Mom, I forgot to do his 2 year old photos on his Birthday. I just got them done this week (as he turns 26 months old)! here are a couple of my favorites.

Austin had a rocky start in life. He arrived 10 weeks early, weighing just 1 lb 3 oz. In fact, it was his birth that really pushed me to get back into photography full time as a business. I realized that life is precious and is often too short. Shouldn't we all be do something that we LOVE doing as a career?

I used my camera to reach inside his tiny incubator to be "close" to him (since we couldn't hold him for weeks after his birth). It was a way to connect to him when all we could do was hold his hand for the first 6 weeks of life. My husband is holding his hand in this photo below. Notice how tiny his little fingers are.

And just look at this cute kid today! "What a miracle" I say! Every parent knows that the birth of their child is a miracle, and this little guy is no different.

Each year in the spring my family takes part in walking for March for Babies to help raise funds for March of Dimes so that babies who are born premature will have a chance of survival in the future (just like my Austin did).

In spring of 2009 I'll be offering special discounted rates to raise funds for March of Dimes through my photography as well. I hope you will join us in supporting a great cause.

Thanks for letting me brag about my son a bit! He's just too cute not to mention on this blog every now and then.

Christmas Cards are here!!

I'm excited to introduce nine brand new Christmas card designs for 2008.

Below are the layouts for 9 new Christmas Card designs. Please notice that the first 1-8 designs are 5x7 in size and have both a front and back side. Design #9 is a 5x5 design and also has a front and back side. All designs are offered in both a warm red OR a cool blue option.

These designs can be ordered in sets of 25 for only $32.00 (including envelopes) That's only $1.28 per card! Quantity discounts may also apply if more than two sets are ordered at the same time.

The designs can be altered slightly to accommodate a personal message from your family, change of font, etc. Custom card designs can be commissioned by Amy for an additional $15.00
